What happens when you stop
and truly look?
As an artist, I am drawn to the beauty in the overlooked—the humble, the hidden. Through colour, light, and detail, I transform the ordinary into something luminous and alive. My nature-inspired oil paintings celebrate the quiet poetry of wild vegetation and organic forms, bringing a sense of peace and connection with the natural world.
My artistic journey led me across Europe and the U.S., where I studied Fine Art at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and Falmouth College of Arts in the UK, specialising in oil painting and nature-inspired themes.
Born in Rome to a British-Italian family, I grew up between cultures, with a deep appreciation for art, storytelling, and classical beauty. My grandfather, Filippo Del Giudice, was the first film producer to bring Shakespeare to the silver screen.
Early in my training, the celebrated New York artist Dorothy Zilka told me, “You have the soul of a painter.” Later, my professor Raoul Middleman remarked, “Your coursemate has made nothing out of something, but you have made something out of nothing.” That insight—finding depth and wonder in details which might escape the attention of others—rationalised my artistic intent and gave me focus.
My paintings, inspired by peaceful walks in the woods and the timeless beauty of nature, have been exhibited in prestigious Roman landmarks, including solo shows sponsored by the Rome City Council. In 2006, I was awarded First Prize at the Premio Monte Mario for Verdant Awakening, and my work has been recognised for its ability to capture the vibrant energy of nature.
Between 2005 and 2007, the Rome City Council sponsored three of my solo exhibitions at the historic Torretta Valadier (109 B.C.) at Ponte Milvio, Rome. Jury members praised my ability to infuse form with energy, describing my work as “an ode to nature” and “an admirable journey from the insignificant into the infinite.”
