Hidden forest
Hidden forest is particularly special to me because I felt free and as I painted it. The subject is undergrowth, soil formation. I hope that I hadn't "gone too far" in expecting the viewer of this painting to "accept" this painting. I was a little concerned that it was "too free". However, good fortune had it that a celebrated American painter who was visiting my neighbour viewed this painting and loved it. She encouraged me to keep going with this painting style and I did! This is what brought me to be so recognised by the Rome City Council with prizes and solo shows as you will see from my website.
